I suffer from Meniere's Disease and Migraine Associated Vertigo. Through my photography,I am able for those with Meniere’s a chance to show and explain to their families, their co-workers, their friends, and others, what it means when we say, “I am dizzy.”

Meniere’s Disease is named after a French physician Prosper Meniere for his work with balance disorders in the inner ear.

The symptoms of Meniere’s vary between patients.  Classic Meniere’s  is made up of four symptoms:

     1.  Vertigo either rotational or sense of dizziness.
   2.   Hearing loss that fluctuates usually in the low  frequency  ranges either in one ear or both.
   3.  Tinnitus, the ringing or roaring in one or both ears.
   4.  Fullness or pressure inside either ear at same time or not.

Migraine Associated Vertigo is dizziness that is associated with a migraine headache condition.  Dizziness and headaches are individually very commmon human conditions and their combination is also a common symptom.

One must determine whether the dizziness and headaches are independent or related to each other, and in particular, whether thay are a manifestation of migraine.

You do not need to have a headache in order to suffer from a migraine.
